Saturday Challenge: Die Cuts

hidinginmycraftroom.com

It's time for another Hiding in my Craft Room Challenge!

This week is die cuts!  If you have been with me for a bit, you have figured out that my Die Cutters are really important to me! So this was an easy challenge for me.  Sort of.  There is SO much to choose from!

I have used more than a fair amount of black and orange paper lately, and I found myself singing Christmas songs while in the car this week! (Really... I know.  I'm weird.) Anywhoo,  I decided to get out my favorite Cricut cartridge; Artiste by Close to my Heart and the October Stamp of the Month also from Close to my Heart.  Aaaaaaand finally, I wanted it to be a 3D project.  I have lofty plans to actually get loads of holiday baking done this year, so boxes to deliver these sweets seemed like the best plan!

I have a plethora of Christmas paper pads, so I decided to start using up those first!

I selected this cute little box on page 48 of the Artiste handbook.  Cut, glued the lids.  The bottom of the box simply gets folded and is held together by the lid!  How cool is that? Makes it easy for this box to be a mass produced gift wrap!  Next, I cut the medallions from some white card stock.  Right on the stamp cling it tells what page in Artiste to find the shape and exactly what size to cut it!  Love that feature!

Here are the boxes with their solo performance pics:

These are fast and easy to make, and they are cute too!  Hope you enjoyed today's inspiration!
Now go make your challenge piece and enter it at Hiding in my Craft Room!
