Happy Birthday!

A few days ago I shared that I had learned a new technique that I was loving.  Water coloring my stamped images.   Well, I was really please with how that paper came out, so I decided to make a card with it!  I needed a birthday card for my Grandmother, you see she turned 85 today!  My other grandmother turned 86 in June.  I feel so fortunate to have both my maternal and paternal grandmothers here, they know my kids, my kids know their great-grandma's, these ladies have amazing stories and have seen so many historic events.  Both of them are still as lively and spirited as if it were their 60th birthday and don't show their age.  I am definitely blessed.

Okay, sorry about the off topic rambling...Back to the original subject :)

So, I made this card to honor a wonderful woman's birthday:
Most of this card was cut with my rotary cutting board, and just the white lacy border and the medallion with the stamped Happy Birthday and the yellow border behind it were both cut on my Cricut with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  A little bling, and Voila!

I also stamped the inside of the card with some matching images.
I am really happy with how this card came out and can't wait to try some more hand stamped and water colored patterned papers!  My favorite part of water colors?  All of the brush strokes do NOT have to stay within the lines perfectly and it still looks pretty!

I hope you enjoyed today's creation!  Be sure to leave me a comment if you did, and help me get to 100 followers by the end of the month!  :)
